Biz_CAD consists of three models: Function Model which represents the functional structure of the business, Process Model which represents the business processes, and Organization Model which represents the organizations, information systems and automated equipment including robots.

Each model has hierarchical structure which enables to model from the holistic top layer model to detailed field model.

Function Model

  • Function Model is for representing the static structure of the business.
  • Function Model is created based on Function Units which represent functions, things, and concepts inherent in the business (Function Units correspond to Objects in object-oriented methodology).
  • A round Function Unit represents functions (Actor Unit), and octagonal Function Unit represents objects (Object Unit).
  • The relation between Function Units is represented by line, direction and word/sentence.
  • Function Model enables to create models from macro-level (corporate model) to micro-level (detailed parts) gradually and hierarchically in the fractal forms.
  • The Icon which is set as an attribute of Function Unit represents execution means or the nature of the Function Unit.
  • The layered background color represents the outsourcing area and insourcing area.
  • You can set a link to existing documents such as operation manuals on the model canvas.

Process Model

  • Process Model is composed by Function Units which are defined in Function Model.
  • The Process Model represents the process flow by lines with direction and sequence number.
  • You can plot the parts to represent the process, such as conditional branch.
  • The icon attached to the Unit or Flow represents the execution means of the process.
  • You can simulate the cost and time required.
  • The simulated (To-Be) value, monitored value (As-Is), process timing, frequency and other related information of each process are displayed in the header of canvas.
  • The related Organization can be set to each flow, and also organization lane can be set on the canvas.
  • You can create the detailed models hierarchically, and those can be linked mutually.
  • You can set a link to existing documents such as operation manuals on the model canvas.

Organization Model

  • Organization Model is a model for representing the organization (WHO) to supports the functions and processes of the enterprise.
  • Organization Model enables to create models from macro-level (corporate model) to micro-level (detailed team) gradually and hierarchically.
  • Organization Model represents the organization system to support the business including outsourced contractors, information systems, robots and other automated equipment as well as internal organizations.
  • The Organization Model also represents the position like CEO and managers, and also abstracted organizations and job tile can be defined such as “departments related to sales” and "manager-class".
  • Organization Model displays the monitored value of the organization such as of sales amount, profit, cost and number of staff in the form of comparing the target value (To-Be) and monitored current (As-Is) value.
  • You can set a link to existing documents such as operation manuals on the model canvas.
